I am called of God. My authority is above that of kings of the earth. By revelation I have been selected as a personal representative of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is my master and He has chosen me to represent Him--to stand in His place, to say and do what He Himself would say and do if He personally were ministering to the very people to whom He has sent me. My voice is His voice, and my acts are His acts; my doctrine is His doctrine. My Commission is to do what He wants done; To say what He wants said; to be a living modern witness in word and in deed of the divinity of his great and marvelous Latter-day work. How great is my calling! • My Missionary Commission • Elder Bruce R. McConkie •

LETTER: Elder Jared Jensen • August 29th, 2011

Dear Mom who I still love and will always love.

Things here in my new area are going great. Its always a little more stressful trying to learn everyone's names again but I feel like I'm getting really good at that by now. I still haven't seen the lake here yet but maybe I will go see it today for P-day and see what it looks like. I hear the lake here is very beautiful. So if its good enough maybe will have to come visit up here some time. Will see though

My new companions name is Elder Pierson. (not Kierson) The zone leaders told me the wrong name last time. He has broken about 8 different things on his bike since I have been here. Its has been pretty funny. We have been working hard though. This last week we have been helping a lot of people move so just so you know when I get back I am pretty much a licensed mover now with all the people that I have had to help move since I have been out.

Well we are living in a pretty nice apartment. Its the biggest apartment that I have stayed in so far so it has been very nice. We have no AC again though so I always have to be next to a fan or I just start to swim in my own sweat. And thank you for that birthday money. It actually was spent to fix up a part of my bike. So I have been living off of peanut butter and eggs and reeses for the past week. I no longer like eggs or reeses any more. Its ok though we are finally getting our next payment on Wednesday so that I can start eating something more healthy. I have been getting lots of protein though so I think that's good. Man I love my mission.

Well hopefully this week we will have more people that we will be committing to baptism. Its so weird how different each area feels. I love so many families here already though. I feel like this is going to be a really good area.

Well I love you my most beautiful mom

LETTER: Elder Colton Nunley • August 29th, 2011

hey family hows it going??? everything is so dang good here in chihuahua!!!

we had stake conference this week and our bishop is now the 2nd counseler of the President and my district had 26 investigators in the sunday morning meeting!!!!! that was super cool and we talked to all the investigators after and they all talked about how when President angulo talked he has a voice that you just straight up cant ignore haha i told them that i had many opportunities to get chewed out by him when i was in the offices haha jk but yeah President talked about the definition of condemnation and in the scriptures it talks about how its a state of no progress. i liked that a lot and he talked about how if we are not progressing or preparing ourselves everyday...which is our purpose in life, alma 34:32....we are in the state of condemnation. How direct? there are so many things that we NEED to do everyday to help us prepare for the eternal life. for example reading the scriptures daily or praying, family prayers and personal. soo soo soo many things, little things but escencial that we have to do.

its amazing to see how much the gospel has changed my life here in the mission. haha i lucked out so much to come here to chihuahua. this gospel can do that for absolutely anyone too. and actually this week we are gonna have a baptism for someone that is proof of that.. his name is rey david (king david haha) and he used to live in arizona and was a cholo (thug) he dealed with all that kinda stuff and got sent back here to mexico. he continued living his life like that for a while here and his wife is a member less active. one day he just decided to change completely... we got a call from his wife and we went to go talk to him... something suupper crazy happened that week but i´ll have to wait til after the mission to tell you about that haha but yeah now he is soo soo active in the church. he doesnt have work right now and so we taught him about fasting and he was like yeah man lets do it haha he still has the cholo accent haha but he has such a strong testimony. he is one of the biggest examples of faith that i have in my life. he believes 110 percent that if he puts the things of the Lord first in his life the Lord will bless him. he is doing absolutely everything that we ask him and we actually had a miracle and one of our other investigators said in his work they need some more people but we are gonna find out today if David got it or not.

hahah dayton i think you´ve gotten funnier and i loved your letter you sent this week i laughed so hard. haha i hope everything is going super duper well !! can you believe that general conference is in like 5 weeks???!!!??? how awesome. but yeah so we are gonna baptize david this week and we are super pumped i´ll send a picture of him to you after the baptism he is so awesome.

Love you so much,
Elder Nunley

LETTER: Elder Brayden Schneider • August 29th, 2011

That is super cool to hear about Tina deffering from her mission call! sounds like love is in the air!

mom that is cool to talked to elder hadley... i never met him cause he was from Croatia... and i am in Slovenia. But that is super cool!

You guys are not going to believe this but this week the sisters in our district had a baptism and guess how many investigators/non members showed up? 25!!!!! it was amazing and we had like 18 members there. I was loving it after the baptism cause we had a chance to talk to all the non members and get some phone numbers! Also the branch president asked my comp and i to give a first lesson for one of the baptismal talks. I was kinda nervous cause i we were in a tiny room and there were so many non members that we were praying really hard for the spirit! it was great though, we challenage everyone there to read the BOM and ask god, and everyone took a BOM after the baptism! Also last week we got two new investigators!

So yeah it was a good week president said we need to work on inviting so i have started to. We were on the train going to visit a member and someone invited me to sit by them, we talked for a while and i decieded to practice inviting so i invited him to prepare himself for baptism. He said yes! hahaha so that was a cool exsperiance, but the only problem is, is that he didnt have a phone so he said "i will call you next week" so i will pray for him that he will call!

oh yeah we had some nice visitors from some spanish speaking country and they didnt know any english or slovene, so i "pretended" for about 20 mins that i knew what they were saying... man spanish is so easy though, i was having so much fun though talking to them! It was really weird to meet nice people though, because in slovenia the culture is so different, and it was weird to talk to people that are exciting to talk to, slovenians are quiet, shy and not really open or outgoing. It was just really different.

One lady we are teaching accepted a baptsimal date for september 17! So also gave a BOM to her mother this week!

Well things are good!

ps... i will send some pictures home sometime...... sorry i always forget.
pss.. Do you guys want anything from Slovenia?
psss.. i have a feeling missionaries are going to Bosnia soon!!!! president said something about it on our meeting. Pray that he will choose me, i would even stay an extra 6 months if i could serve there!!!

one other thing, i was laughing so hard when i read adris email about how the ZOne leaders always focus on baptisms and stuff and that her distict leader is like way cool! hahahahahaha its funny cause it seems like that is the same everywhere ZL are always the bad guys! hahahaha (i am a zone leader) oh man that is funny stuff!

LETTER: Elder Jared Jensen • August 20th, 2011

Dear way beautiful mom still.

So you know how I get move around a lot? Well that still hasn't changed. Transfers came up again and I will now be going to Cour d'elane. I think my purpose here is to travel and explore the whole mission. I've now been in Moses lake, South Spokane, Moscow, North Spokane, Lewiston, and now Cour d'elane. I still haven't been in an area longer then 12 weeks. I really thought this time I was going to last longer but who am I kidding. So I will be moving tomorrow at around 3:15.

Well I had to so good bye to Yire (G-ray) Last night and I'm not going to lie it was very hard for both of us. I will be keeping in contact with her through my mission but it was still very hard. She will also be going back to Mexico on September 14 so I wont be having a chance to ever see her again while I'm on my mission. She is such a strong member though. We have been going through a lot of questions and answers with her lately to try and prepare her when she goes and sees her family again. Her whole family is going to sit around and listen to her about the gospel. So I guess will see what happens.

Things in this area have been so wonderful. A couple less actives have started coming to church. Have 2 people that will be getting baptized soon here. And the lady that we tracted into is going to be baptized. (She just doesn't know it yet) Its so weird how fast you can be attached to new people. It feels like just a couple of days ago I got here. This mission stuff goes by fast. Well I guess the next area I'm going too is one of the biggest anti place's in our mission. So I might have a lot more stories to tell you guys in the next few weeks until I get transferred again in a couple of weeks.

Well sadly this week one of the guys (Don Russel) that we have been teaching the temple classes too, to prepare him to go to the temple went into the hospital because of breathing problems. We were able to finish all the temple lessons with him before he went in though. I will have to be saying goodbye to him today as well.

Suzzet in my last area seems to be doing very well lately. She was asked by the stake president to give her testimony in church a couple of days ago and she is also now a secretary in her ward.

I have also found out that mark and Vickie in south hill that we were teaching also got married and then baptized in the church and just a couple of weeks ago he got the Aaronic priest hood. Also I cant remember is I told you already but the Blest family that we were teaching there also got baptized.

I also cant remember if I told you this one either (sorry) but I found out that also Chris Jones in my very first area(The person we found tracting) also got baptized when he turned 18 because his parents wouldn't let him until he was an adult and he will also be serving a mission in about a year.

Man I love my mission. I'm so glad that god sent me to the greatest mission in the world. Our talk here with Elder Tom Perry of the twelve and also Elder Clayton of the seventies was also a great testimony experience Watching apostles on TV doesn't even come close the power you feel when you are near them. When Elder Tom Perry spoke I knew that this man had authority
from god. Any one there could feel it. It was also a great experience to shake his hand. (By the way Elder Tom Perry is a huge guy. I have never realized how big he actually is)

Well things here are going great. My mission has been going great as well. Well great besides I lost my camera when we went and saw Elder Tom Perry. I have been pretty sad that I have now lost my last 4 transfers of pictures. I have searched every where for it and I haven't been able to find it any where. I'm praying that someone will bring it to me soon. All I really want is that SD card. But other that that everything here is going great. This area was amazing and We will have to come visit here again some time soon when I get back. I love you my most beautiful mom. Oh and did I mention we have the greatest family in the world? I love you =)

*NEW ADDRESS for Elder Schneider*

Slovenia/Croatia Mission

Crkva Isusa Krista Svetaca Posljednjih Dana

Svačićev Trg 3

10000 Zagreb

If you intend to send packages you are not to address them to your missionary. Use the address above and put the missionaries name as the return address with your physical address. The reason for this is that if it is addressed to him/her then they will have to come to Zagreb and pick it up at the post office themselves, which of course they can't do, because they are living in other towns.

PICTURES: Elder Nunley

This picture is of a dog that one day just showed up at our house to protect us. at night she barks at everyone that passes...in the day too. haha her name is abish and she wont leave haha she jsut stays there and waits for us to come home and leave but its pretty comforting to have a dog i actually like it a lot haha.

LETTER: Elder Colton Nunley • August 22nd, 2011

hey family!!! hows it going? sounds like i missed out on the family reunions, sounds like they were way fun.

oh man this week has been awesome. oh so that picture of the baptism that we had, her name is anabell. and her kids are so funny especially the smallest one haha oh man his name is manuel and is a hoot haha. just a couple things to share about him. he always is walking around naked and he thinks my name is Mormón Loco haha and he says it the whole time we are at their house haha. we actually went over to their house right before coming here to take a video of it and i was gonna send it to you but they weren{t home haha al mejor next week. haha oh yeah so one day we were teaching anabell and her husband and manuelito, the little kid that goes around naked, came over to the table and climbed up on the chair next to his mom and just started peeing on her haha oh man that was funny.

but yeah this week we have had a couple miracles its amazing we are having so much success with the members they are helping us out so much. and my district is doing way good we all improved a lot in our numbers this week which is way good. i would love to describe to you all of the miracles that happen here on the mission but it would take forever to do that.

but yeah mexico is so awesome and i absolutely love spanish its the best.... SOOOOO much better than english haha.

but yeah this week i´d say my testimony grew the most through the scriptures. DyC 121 and Moroni 7 y 8. i learned a ton of things and i finished the book of mormon finally for only the second time in the mission. but now im starting to read a little bit more in the bible and im learning a ton too.

oh the picture that im sending is a dog that one day just showed up at our house to protect us. at night she barks at everyone that passes...in the day too. haha her name is abish and she wont leave haha she jsut stays there and waits for us to come home and leave but its pretty comforting to have a dog i actually like it a lot haha.

yesterday we had a baptismal interview for an investigator but the president had to do it and it went super well. i learn so stinkin much from him!!!!!

but i love the plan of salvation its so awesome to know that i´ll be with you guys for forever if we do our part and im so glad to know this is the church that helps us do our very best to achieve that.

I love you all so much!!!

Thanks a ton for working on my schooling this week! That is super cool to hear that logan is already at school.... that is really really wierd though, he still seems too young! haha

Also thanks for the update on my card! you guys are the best!

Also dad last week you asked for my address.... not sure, it would be easier if you just sent it to the croatian address.

Well.... this week is going to be crazy, so listen to this, on friday we are having a special training for all the missionaries here in Ljubljana, and we will be training on HOW TO TRAIN MISSIONARIES, the crazy part is, is the first presidence athorized that ever companionship gets a mini DVD player. Hahaha you guys totally think i am joking but its the truth, so i have a good feeling about this. I am super excited.

Well we almost have a baptismal date but our investigator said that she started drinking coffee again... and she is having the hardest time stopping so tommorow at like 5:30 we are going to make her hot chocolate and show up at her house, in our white shirts and ties and give her hot chocolate instead. (cause she said she only drinks coffee in the mourning). I am hoping that it will make her feel specail and that the word of wisdom is a big deal! wish us luck!

This week we have transfers, i think everyone is more excited the usual! I am pretty excited.
Good news, Sean wrote me he is still going way good!

So i just finished reading my first text book. haha not really a text book but its the CHURCH HISTORY IN THE FULLNESS OF TIMES, i love it, i am super super wierd now, i like to read..... i know i bet you guys can hardly believe it.

This week was so hot at night i couldnt sleep so i stayed up until 3 on night at studied about angles.... that is really really interesting. I would highly suggest studing that.

Well thats about it. i am doing good!

ps.. i got the coolest new tie last week i will have to send a pic soon!

love you.

LETTER: Sister Adrienne Schneider • August 22nd, 2011

WOW!

I am just going to write a little bit about what is going on....haha we divided a stake and so we had a reunion with a whole bunch of people and wards! it was so great! there were so many missionaries, wards, and people. One person from the 70 spoke and everyone was really excited to hear from someone in the ¨70¨.....they don´t even think about coming to utah and actually hearing the prophet or one of the 12. what a blessing to live in utah and have so many opportunities to hear and see the prophet and apostles!

some great things that happened.....this little girl fell in love with me. i said hi to her...and after that....she just kept giving me bunches of hugs and kisses. haha she had me sit by her and just was the cutest thing ever! so we sat by each other, and the whole time she was telling me that she loved me...like a ten year old girl....and lots of hugs. it was pretty precious! she was so sad when i had to leave and she had to go with the other missionaries..... the missionaries in her area are great! I found out she recently got baptized like a week ago. She said she is going to miss me a whole lot. I felt pretty good about it.

The other fun thing about this reunion was that i got to see people from Hurlingham. This time...i could actually talk and understand what they were saying. there are a lot of great people there! i already miss them....but i felt satisfied that i could talk to them and that i have been working hard to learn their language. One counselor in the bishopric is just grea tand his wife had a baby...it was fun to see their baby becaue they are a young couple. When i was talking to them, this little girl came up to give me a big hug and kiss to say good-bye....the counselor just looked at me and said...you know her? haha i laughed and told him i met her in the conference. Then he said that it is my strong spirit and love for the people that she sensed instantly, which helped me feel good. He helped me a lot when I was in Hurlingham. We joke that he is one of our heros because he is just so great to everyone. He sees things how they are....

I also got to talk to Sebastian Sires....a real conversation (I could never understand him before...and if I could...I couldn´t respond)....he is good and has to do his mission papers again.....but he said he saw a vision that his brother got baptized......

Later...i talked with Hermana Clark (she is in Hurlingham) and she told me that the brother of Seba is getting the lessons, but has to stop smoking and drugs and everything, but has a baptismal date! it was super fun to talk to him and all the people. I was super excited to hear about Sebastien and his brother!

Also, there was a choir that sang in the conference, i thought...i´d like some music to plan in spanish so people can sing. I talked to one woman from Hurlingham and mentioned the music (she knew i played the piano) and just gave me the music....small blessings.

I was so stinkin happy and grateful last night i couldn´t sleep.....thinking of all the people, the little children that i absolutely love....and just the mission. I thought that i don´t know if i would ever send my daughter on a mission......I think it would be hard as a parent to send your kids out on a mission...foreign land, language, customs, cultural, people, and distance from teh family....how crazy....!

Then i started thinking more....that Heavenly Father sent us here...it was hard, but necessary. Jesus still did the will of his father and completed his mission.....I hope I make sense.

It has been awesome to be with Leyna (17 year old girl that got baptized) She is just great and it is so fun to be able to talk more with her. She wants to serve a mission :) haha she is amazing and the only one in her family. I want to do something nice for the mom....she doesn´t ever want to talk to us....I pray we can soften her heart.

We had a family of 10, but something happened and they don´t really want to listen to us for now....i am praying to know what to do. Other than that, we have been contacting and looking for people. WE had transfers and I am training someone new that is waiting for her VISA to Venezuela. She has problems with her knees sometimes and walking...but she is nice to me. haha learning a lot with every companion...I´ve had 4 different companions in 4 transfers.......

The Elders still help us a lot. Our District Leader is really great and has given me good advice with things. Soemtimes the zone leaders get a little carried away with numbers and baptisms.....which stresses me out cuz we don´t have any fechas right now.....but he helps me keep the perspective of the people. He gave me the idea to do something nice for Leyna´s mom.

so congrats on all the babies, weddings, and everything too! it is so fun to hear!!!! Seriously! Thanks for those tidbits of information!

I wrote a lot about me hoy....sorry

love you tonz!!

Derek thanks for writing me. and congratulations on your wedding and everything else in you life haha!!!!

LETTER: Sister Adrienne Schneider • August 16th, 2011

hola!

So, it has been a hard transfer. We have kids that want to get baptized, but we don´t have the permisson from the moms. The dads are fine with it, but the moms are soooo hard to talk to and won´t budge for anything. They don´t have problems if they come to church, activities, pray, or read the book of Mormon....but they can NOT get baptized. i haven´t found out why yet....It has been hard for other reasons....but remember these words and maybe I will tell you after: Jose Alico (Calle) and Rodriguez

They are the best! the villa is crazy...i want to take pictures, but it wouldn´t be too smart to take a camera and i don´t want to lose...i will go buy one the next pday...don´t have time today...sorry!

I can´t remember what I have already written,,, but We are going to marry a 75 year old grandpa! haha we baptized him....and he can´t read or write and barely hears. He loves to come to church! his señora came back and they wan tto get married and she wants to get baptized! We have a lot to teach her...but it is so great! They cry everytime we visit them! We have to wait a month to marry them off though ;( i don´t know if I will be here. we were able to give ANA (the señora) a skirt. haha she is funny! very catholic but sweet!

We had transfers again, I am kinda training, i´m an aunt now. My comp was a mini and only serves for a transfer, but they asked her to serve in another area. I am training a new sister, she has one transfer, but her mission call is for Venezuela. So, it is pretty crazy. This transfer with a new president has been a monton de cambios! Two sisters are with their original mothers...which is so so weird. So, two really experiences missionaries are together. It is insane! I had a feeling to call one of my original sisters (one of my hermanas in the mtc...) normally, we don´t call others without the permission, but i called anyways (you can edit this part...first our priority is to the Lord...so i don´t think i was disobedient :) but it was good to call her and she just started to cry and felt sooo alone. I could relate with her all too well with eveyrthing she is going through.

Also, the Elder that helped me out and talked to me when I was training is now Asistent to the President. I think he was pretty shocked and kind of reacted the same way I did when I found out I was training. I could relate with him all too well. I was able to try and return the favor and help him out. It is really great to try and help people!

All those experiences I have had, have helped me relate with the others. I can see them experiencing the same thing and my heart goes too them...it is hard! But there is nothing I can really do, because it is just something they kinda have to experience. I know that they understand how they feel. That is kinda vague, but those hard experiences are refining me...
and allowing me to help others and relate with them

I seriously don´t know what i would do without the Elders to help me out mom. They are great! I have traveled a lot with my mini comp because she is from Argentina. She has a lot of random thigns to do...like vote, fix her braces (not very many people have braces here)...and we need to travel. Not going to lie it has been fun to travel and see more of Argentina. When we were traveling, we saw 4 Elders and it was so fun to see Elders! I hope we give people hope when they see us sisters! We joke that we are the popular sisters because they always call us to invite us to do things with them. We work hard too! People help us all the time! we were sitting in a train traveling...not really knowing where to go, and almost every time someone kinda took us by the hand to show us where to go. One man randomly looked at us and said....this is Ramos...didn´t you want to get off at Ramos? If he hadn´t said it, we would have lost ourselves....

We had four dates for baptisms, but they fell through because we couldn´t get the permission from their mothers. We can baptize with only the permission from the dads..but I want permission from both because they have big families. i don´t want to get the mom´s mad right now. One of the girls is named Jennyfer and is the sister of our amazing baptism! haha she is 9 and was sitting by me in church. I was writing her notes and this was our conversation written<.

Are you Praying?......SI (Written big in block letters! enthusiastically)
Do you want to get baptized?.....SI
Why do you want to get baptized?....I want to enter into the kingdom of God
I want to help you, I will pray for you that you can get baptized......me too GRACIAS!
This little girl is so stinkin cute! so grateful and KNOWS that she needs to get baptized! She was grateful for me! that was the best!

sorry i am everywhere! working hard, i love you! I am so glad for so many things! our family rocks! you can share with dad too, i am running out of time...

love always,
hermana Schneider

LETTER: Elder Brayden Schneider • August 16th, 2011

so you are probably wonduring why i am writing today. Cause yesterday was a holiday so everything was closed.

So i am really excited to hear that i can live at home for the first semester!! hey what day, and time does my flight arrive in utah?
Well good stuff happened this week. Actually i am really excited, we had a lesson with our main investigator and we read 1 nephi chapter 8, and talked about enduring to the end and everything. We 3 other members come on that lesson, and when we talked about it we felt that she is ready for baptism. She has came to church like 10 times in a row and said she will continue to come. Well tonight we have a lesson with her and we are going to ask if she will be baptisted on September 3! She will say yes i already know, but its still exciting!

Also we had zone conferance this week and we taught about refferals! And last week we got 3 refferals. We had a really cool exspericnce. So we were teaching a less active member and he has been doing really well lately, so we had a lesson with him and taught him about service, and then we decided the best way for him to learn service would to actually do it. So for our lesson he came with us while we visited some of the ladies in the branch. While we were with him i felt like i needed to ask about his parents. And if they were still living he said.. yes, and they live right there, (as he pointed to a building) then i was like cool man lets go visit them. But he declined, so we kept walking as i was trying to convince him, that we should go visit them together. So we just kept walking, for about 5 mins then the spirit started working on him and he said, ok if you wanna go visit them lets go. SO to make a long story short we visited them, and had a short lesson/visit, it was good... they really like us, so hopefully you will hear more about them.
Also we are teaching this members wife, she is super cool but wont do anything, and the spirit worked on her this week and she came to church! I didnt know she was coming and at the end of the meeting when i saw her i seriously like ran to greet her! it was the coolest thing to see her there!!!
We had alot going on this week. It was good.
love you family!

hola dad!"!!
we have a good looking family! not going to lie!!!! jessie...wow you are gorgeous! The family look sgreat! Thanks for the pics! how the heck is Brayden? i haven´t heard from him for ever!!!!! i miss hearing from him!!! Glad that the trek was a good experience.

Question 1 - What impressed you at Martin's cove when you went with heritage tours? I am not sure I remember really well (about 5 or six years since i was in Martin´s cove...but I think there is a picture of a boy in teh snow with his dead fatehr ot something in teh snow. I can´t remember everything exactly, but i have a picture of it. If i could see the picture I took, I would remember...I can´t remember where those CD´s are of Trek...que lastima! I just remember feeling the sacrifice of the pioneers. They are pretty amazing!

Question 2 - Is it harder for you to take the time to write letters home because you have so much work to accomplish during your P day? There is always a lot to do on pday...but We always have the same amount of time to write our family. We have to write our family acutually, and president. The other day president didn´t receive a letter from my mini because she didn´t have a form, and so we had to go back another day to write. normally, we try to sleep because we work so hard during the week. But today we are going to go with Elders to play sports. it doesn´t happen very often, and those elders won a sports day of pday...but asked permission to invite me and my comp! was sooo nice of them! THere is always a ton to do on pday....but it is great!

are you and mom going to serve a mission dad? when you have...more experience (I think that is how brayden says ölder¨ but i can´t remember..haha) so crazy! you can read mom´s email if youw ant. i kinda rambled like always! but it is good! hard, but good! THanks for all teh support of everyone! Soemtimes i feel alone, but then someone always thinks of me and does something for me or algo asi! it is so great! I am so lucky so many people care about me! THanks for everything! love you tonz!

Time is about out! Pleas tell jessie that if she can resend her email to me...somehow it was deleted..i saw a new email from her....clicked it...and then it deleted itself. anyohw, if she can resend it or something. i feel bad i didn´t respond!

love always,
hermanita schneider

aha i love those pictures that you gave me! that trek looked like a bunch of fun not work or hard times! hahahaha thats way cool though!

We are busy doing missionary work. Everyone was on vacation so we were lacking in the lessons area.

Wow you guys got my flight plans??? JAN 2, 2012 hahahahahaha oh man that is just to weird. My question is, is how am i going to go to school on Jan 2? hahaha well i guess it looks like i will be missing the first day of school. Oh man that is crazy..... and that means that i will be missing 3 Christmases! hahaha what a blessing! hahaha that will be the coolest thing to say, that i missed 3 Christmases on my mission.

On cool experience that we had was 2 new ladies just showed up to church. I talked to one of them and the end of the meeting and she said that she is 100% sure this is church is true, and that she wants to be a member. (we will start teaching her but she might be a little crazy), but the other lady is amazing she loved it and said she was going to keep coming!
So we are teaching one lady that really really wants to be baptized, but we are waiting for a little bit because we dont know how sensor her desires are! Its an interesting situation! haha

The weather is super weird over here, it rains and then is 10000 degrees.
So this week we had alot of meetings! We had separate meetings with the mission president, assistants, and the branch president.

The branch president is really liking the missionaries that he has right now! Its alot of fun working with him.

Well good news i am losing weight.... when i came out on my mission i was about 200-250 pounds but now i am about 145! hahaha no jk but i think i have lost any muscle that i used to have! haha

ok so we had some really good lessons this week.... its weird cause now i never know what to write about our lessons!

otherwise i am good! And hopefully next week you will hear about a baptismal date!!!

Ps... mom and dad i do want to go to UVU. How can we get me signed up? can you guys work on that one?

ps... my president really really likes me.... even more then president hill did! hahahaha the mission just goes so much better when your leaders like you! hahaha

Hey family, muchísimas gracias for you letters!! I stinkin love
hearing from you guys.

This week was really really good. We are having so much success here and i am finally beginning to understand how the Lord blesses us with that success according to our faith!!! Haha it is so amazing.

So things with the bishop are going super well and we actually ate lunch with his family this week and i asked his wife what else she would like to see from us. Haha she absolutely loved that haha. But she told us that we are doing really good she loves seeing us work with the members in the ward and she sees the service that we are doing. Its awesome!!!

this week we are gonna have 2 for sure baptisms and probably 2 more.

sorry i dont have a lot to write thisweek haha and the computer that im using is super slow so my half hour is almost up already.

thanks for everything you guys are doing over there. i love that you are all serving too. (i promise i´ll write more next week) haha

LETTER: Elder Jared Jensen • August 1st, 2011

I just want to begin and say my 20th birthday was amazing. I'm so grateful to have such a wonderful family that takes care of me. I loved everything I got. I'm actually wearing one of the new light blue shirts that I got right now. And then I used some of the lemon head candy's to bribe the little kids at church to like me. I feel like I'm back in the 1st stages with Brooklynn back in the day when I was home. I'm glad Brooklynn taught me how to bribe little kids to like me because now I got the little ones giving my high five's when I go to church. So little Brooky... thanks =) I don't know what I'm going to do when I get home when there is going to be a complete other family of little people running around. But that's not a bad thing. Its actually a very good thing because our family is so awesome and I'm sure God feels that way to so he trusts us with more of his little ones. Not only that but he also trusts us with the way cute one's.

So this week has been pretty exciting. We finally got in to the juvenile correction center that has been trying to meet missionary's for 9 months. I have been tying to get in there for 8 weeks so pretty much the moment I got here. I have been finding all these members of our church trying to get them to talk to the religious coordinator there and nothing was working. So God decided to help me out and led us randomly into the middle of nowhere with tree's and mountains everywhere. So we knocked on this guys house and he happen to be one of the main managers of the facility and now we are actually really good friends with him. So he gave us the hook ups that we needed and we finally ended up making it there to the kid that wanted to speak with us. It was quit an amazing experience how God just made everything work. Terry Lewis is the guy that we tracted to and God really did just soften his heart for us so that he didn't make us do fingure prints or anything to get in. He told us "You know I havent really ever done this but... I understand that you missionaries get transferred about every 6 weeks so I talked with the boss and asked if it was ok for you guys to come in every Wednesday to speak with this kid with out the prints" So his boss told him it was ok so we are now meeting with him every Wednesday. Not going to lie though... It was a little scary when we were in there. They had 3 body guards around us almost the whole time. =)

well i have to go. I love you so much. =)

oh my gosh that is so awesome that Elder Howell is already on the mission!!! haha for real i am so happy for him. and what about ammon and john bahr? oh so this week im gonna do something a little different im gonna send the letter that i send to the President to you guys too. He told us that we should update our families on all the work here just as much as we update him. so im gonna write you my normal letter and then afterwards i`ll paste it to the end of this letter. oh im gonna send some fotos today too from the baptism that we had.

so on thursday the bishop called me and asked me to speak on sunday and i was super pumped because our bishop isnt all to enthusiastic about the missionaries. i think there was a missionary who was here before me and they butted heads haha but yeah ever since i got here we`ve been trying to animate (the verb animar in spanish is what i want to say and its different from animate haha but because my spanish is better than my english now im just gonna use animate, but it means like get excited...kinda haha i dunno how to explain it but yeah) so yeah we`ve been trying to animate him a bunch and so the other sunday i asked him if we could have just one minute in sacrament meeting to announce something and he was like sure go for it. and so we told the ward that we appreciate all their help and the food especially haha and how truely truely we want to serve them. so we told them if they need help with any little thing they should call us. and the bishop lightened up a bit... just a bit haha. and so we have done some way cool service projects for members this week and so when he asked me to speak i was super stoked. he asked me to talk about obedience and i talked about the 2000 strippling warriors and alma 57:20 y 21 and how their moms taught them about obedience and having faith that the Lord will ALWAYS follow through in His promises. then i shared about how small and safe north dakota is and how when i opened my call to Chihuahua we were all super stoked and then how mom found out about how dangerous it is here haha. i told them about how mommy told me to be obedient and how Her faith in My obediece really helped me. Thank you so much mom and dad for your examples all throughout my entire life. it was honestly the best talk i`d ever given because i testified and i could feel the spirit testify of much of what i said. the life of a missionary is absoulutely the best life ever. i have never felt so much guidance from Heavenly Father Himself in my life and the mission has helped me so much to humble myself to recognize it.

that is so cool about how the berogans went to the temple!!! i havent gone to the temple since the mtc and i bet i will maybe go 2 ò 3 times on the mission. i miss it so much. thank you mom for sharing that advice and when i go i will for sure do that. dad that is way cool that you are turning green chile around. if you want when i get back id be more than happy to help you out with all that stuff and help you learn some espanish haha haha that is way funny what they all call you haha i laughed pretty hard.... oh so the video im sending is a re-enactment of something that i used to do haha let me know next week what you think haha

ok so her is the letter to the president
Hola Presidente,
Me alegra mucho.
